Sunday Wrap-Up: Rhinos Eliminate Defending Champions

April 15, 2024

Camden Bajzer netted the game winning tally for El Paso

Oklahoma 0 @ El Paso 2 (South Division Play-In Series, El Paso Wins Series 2-1): Joey LoVullo stood tall as he denied all 28 shots he faced as the El Paso Rhinos blanked the Oklahoma Warriors 2-0 in Game 3 of the South Division play-in series. With the victory, El Paso wins their first playoff series and advance to play Shreveport in the division semifinals. Camden Bajzer scored the game’s first goal towards the end of the first period with the assists going to Tim Mathys and Medrick Bolduc. LoVullo kept things in check the rest of the way as he stopped 17 shots over the final two periods to eliminate the defending Robertson Cup champions. Tory Lund added an empty net tally at the buzzer. Daniel Duris was outstanding for Oklahoma in goal, allowing just the one goal on 38 shots.
