Event Internship Opportunities

Minneapolis, MN Event Internship Opportunities:

There will be three events, September 13-18, October 13-17, and December 15-21. The events will have long days so we will split the day into shifts. The first day of each event includes overview and event set-up. These roles will be paid $15.00/hour. Please send a cover letter with your major and stating your interest in this position, your availability the dates listed and one letter of recommendation to Tyler Giwerowski at Tgiwerowski@nahl.com, as well as any questions you may have. There are multiple spots available for each position.

Event Support:

Summary:

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is in search of general event support interns to help the running of events for the NAHL.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Setup and break down for event
  • Merchandise Sales
  • General event support and assistant
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Detail oriented
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to lift ~35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Production Assistant:

Summary:

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is in search of Production Assistants to help live stream junior hockey games on HockeyTV, the exclusive streaming provider of the NAHL.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Setup and break down of camera/streaming equipment for an assigned ice sheet
  • Identifying issues that occur during the event and communicating those to the director or producer
  • Assist the staff with video file transfers and management
  • Editing highlight packages
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Ability to lift ~35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Familiarity with camera/streaming equipment (tripods, cameras, laptops, cabling, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with sports video capture/live streaming
  • Experience editing video using either Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere
  • Knowledge & understanding of the sport of hockey
