Rhinos defenseman Lindsay makes NCAA DIII Commitment

April 12, 2024

Lindsay represented the Rhinos at the 2024 Top Prospects Tournament

The El Paso Rhinos of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Luke Lindsay has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Bethel University of the MIAC.

Lindsay, 20, post-high school, appeared in one game for the Chippewa Steel during the 2021-2022 season. After his short stint with the Steel, the Eau Claire, WI native spent the following season with the Aberdeen Wings where he was able to tally 11 points (3 goals, 8 assists) in 40 games in addition to making an appearance in 3 Robertson Cup Playoff games.

After starting the 2023-2024 season with Aberdeen, the 6’1” blue liner made the transition over to the Rhinos after 15 games and has been a solid defender for El Paso posting 19 points (3 goals, 16 assists) in 43 games. As a result, he was selected to participate in the 2024 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in Pittsburgh, PA.

With the Robertson Cup Playoffs beginning this weekend, Lindsay and the Rhinos will host the Oklahoma Warriors for a best of three series at the El Paso County Events Center.

Lindsay is the second player to commit for the Rhinos this season and will join 16 NAHL and NA3HL alumni at Bethel University in the fall.
