Sunday Wrap Up: Rhinos Finish Off Sweep of Grit

Conner Brown had three points in the Janesville victory

Colorado 2 @ El Paso 5: Five different Rhinos scored five unanswered goals as El Paso finished off the sweep of the Colorado Grit with a 5-2 win on Sunday afternoon. Noah Grolnic and Will Hadrick put the Grit up 2-0 after 20 minutes of action. However in the second period, it was all El Paso as Mason LeBel, Frank Tafelski, Ritter Coombs and Alexandre Pellerin all lit the lamp to put the Rhinos ahead. Tory Lund added some insurance in the third period with his 18th goal of the season. Joey LoVullo took home the victory in goal as he made 21 saves. Aden Gariepy was stuck with the loss as he made 36 saves.

Janesville 7 @ Kenai River 2: The Janesville Jets salvaged the series as they knocked off Kenai River 7-2. Conner Brown continued his strong weekend with a goal and two helpers. Haden Kruse, James Taylor, and Mason Kesselring each had a goal and an assist for Janesville. Bauer Murphy, Nick Sajevic and Nicholas Stevens also got on the scoresheet for the Jets. Matthew Alberti and Jan Kasal combined to make 23 saves to pick up the win in goal. Connor Sullivan was saddled with the loss as her made 23 saves.
