Lone Star Wins Monday Matinee

Corpus Christi 3 @ Lone Star 4: The Lone Star Brahmas used a three-goal second period to upend the Corpus Christi IceRays by a score of 4-3. After falling behind in the first period, Justin Kerr tied the game up with his 19th goal of the year. Three minutes later Anthony Cappello put Lone Star ahead with his 10th of the campaign. Ryan Ingles increased the Lone Star lead with his sixth of the season to make it 3-1. However Dylan Jensen got Corpus Christi within one before the end of the middle frame. Charlie Masek restored the two goal lead for Lone Star early in the third period. Wolfgang Govedaris got the IceRays within a goal late but it wasn’t enough as the Brahmas skated off with the victory. Jack Wieneke was the winner in net as he made 26 saves. Bryant Marks was saddled with the loss despite stopping 41 shots.
