Oklahoma 3 @ Shreveport 4 (SO) - Ryan Burke’s goal in the fifth round of the shootout was the game decider as the Shreveport Mudbugs just slipped by the Oklahoma Warriors by a score of 4-3. Hayden Nichol had a goal and an assist for the Mudbugs while Brayden Cook and Lucas Deeb also visited the red light district. Drew Sutton notched a goal and an assist for Oklahoma while Max Vig and Carter Sproule also got on the scoresheet for the Warriors. Nikola Goich was the winner in goal making 22 saves on the night. William Stuski suffered the loss for Oklahoma, he made 26 saves. 

El Paso 2 @ Colorado 1 - Tim Mathys’ third period goal was the difference as the El Paso Rhinos edged the Colorado Grit 2-1. After a scoreless first period, Jordan Gudridge got the Grit on the board early in the second period. That lead will be short lived as Camden Bajzer’s eighth of the year brought El Paso back even. In the early minutes of the third, Mathys was set up by Frank Tafelski for his second of the season. Kael Depape earned the win in goal as he made 23 stops. Aden Gariepy took the loss for Colorado as he made 27 stops.

Northeast 1 @ Johnstown 2 - The Johnstown Tomahawks returned from the holiday break with a win as they outlasted the Northeast Generals by a score of 2-1. Alexey Yarmulnik picked up his sixth of the season with assists going to Davis Ross and Reid Lune. Ben Campeau would tie the game later in the opening frame with his 11th of the year. The final goal of the night came off the stick of Ross as it was just his second goal of the season. Justin Rapp earned his 20th assist on the eventual game winner. Jacob Osborne was nearly perfect as he stopped 32 of 33 shots in the win. Toby Hopp was dealt the loss despite making 33 saves of his own.

Maine 6 @ Philadelphia 2 - Ryan Panico registered a goal and two helpers as the Maine Nordiques dominated the Philadelphia Rebels 6-2 on Saturday night. Jake Bernadet potted a pair of goals of his own while Luke Chappelle and Nicholas Bernardo each tallied a goal and an assist in the victory. Shane Kozlina also contributed a goal for Maine. Brock Jones and Kris Samitis were the goal scorers for the Rebels. Thomas Heaney was the winner in goal for the Nordiques as he stopped 31 shots. Jack Fialkoff and Jakub Brbecek combined to make 31 saves for Philadelphia. 

Anchorage 7 @ Chippewa 2 - Oliver Salo had a huge five point night as the Anchorage Wolverines defeated the Chippewa Steel 7-2. Bryce Monrean had four points with a goal and three assists, Fyodor Nikolayenya scored twice and added an assist while Trenton Powell and Cole Christian each picked up a goal and a helper. Romulus Riego De Dios also found the back of the net in the win. Gavin Middendorf and Anton Astashevich netted goals for Chippewa. Liam Beerman was victorious in net as he made 23 saves while Jacob Morgan was given the loss as he made 24 stops. 

Austin 5 @ North Iowa 2 - The Austin Bruins finished off the sweep of the North Iowa Bulls with a 5-2 win on Saturday. Damon Furuseth led all skaters with three points on the night while five different bruins found the back of the net. Gustav Loren, Will Diamond, Tristan Zarsky, Dylan Cook and Isaak Brassard all lit the lamp for the Bruins. Blake Ulve had a goal and an assist for North Iowa while Rylan Yates also tickled the twine. Trent Wiemken scored the win in the blue paint with 27 saves. Dylan Johnson was saddled with the loss as he made 23 saves for the Bulls. 

Janesville 5 @ Minnesota 1 - Five different Jets got on the scoreboard as they beat the Minnesota Wilderness 5-1. Christian Venticinque and Trey Fechko each grabbed a goal and an assist in the win. Jake Merens, Conner Brown and Haden Kruse each scored as well for the Jets. Joe Cesario provided the lone goal for Minnesota in the loss. Matthew Alberti took home the win in net for the Jets as he stopped 19 shots. Adam Prokop and Loris Uberti teamed up to make 34 saves in the loss.

New Mexico 3 @ Amarillo 2 - The New Mexico Ice Wolves survived a late rally from the Amarillo Wranglers as they survived to win 3-2. The Ice Wolves jumped out to a 3-0 lead as Michael Schermerhorn and Olivier Lamothe scored in the opening frame for New Mexico. Schermerhorn would add his second of the night midway through the game. Ben Ivey and Nick Troutwine scored in the third period to bring Amarillo within one but that’s as close as they would get as Jackson Fuller stood on his head and finished the night with 40 saves for the Ice Wolves. Connor McDonough took the loss for the Wranglers with 14 stops. 

St. Cloud 4 @ Aberdeen 0 - Max Weilandt was perfect as he denied all 31 shots fired in his direction as the Norsemen blanked the Wings 4-0. On the offensive side of the puck, Hagen Moe scored twice and Michael Coleman netted a goal and added two assists. Tyler Dysart had a goal and an assist as well for the Norsemen. Cameron Croix-Kochendorfer stopped 29 shots in the loss for Aberdeen. 

Odessa 3 @ Corpus Christi 4 - Anthony Cafarelli’s goal late in the second period stood as the game winner as the Corpus Christi IceRays dropped the Odessa Jackalopes by a score of 4-3. Stepan Kuznetsov, Billy Biedermann and Pierson Sobush all scored in the opening period for Corpus Christi. Thomas Wright, Trevor Mitchell and Cameron Dunn all netted goals for Odessa in the loss. Bryant Marks gathered the win in the blue paint as he stopped 36 shots. Maksim Bely was given the loss as he made 23 stops for the Jackalopes. 

Bismarck 3 @ Minot 4 (SO) - Jack O’Hanisain delivered the game winner in the shootout for the Minot Minotauros as they dropped the Bismarck Bobcats 4-3. Bismarck got out to a lead in the opening period as Trent Anfinson scored his third of the season. John Small would counter with his seventh of the year and we would be tied at one heading into the first intermission. The Bobcats retook the lead in the second with a goal from Tommy Cronin but two goals in a minute from Cayden Casey and O’Hanisain gave Minot a 3-2 lead heading into the third. Patrick Johnson scored in the opening minute of the final frame to tie things at three and force overtime. After a scoreless five minutes we went to a shootout where O’Hanisain netted the winner in the fourth round. Brady James made 33 saves in 65 minutes of action and three in the skills competition to earn the win in between the pipes. Klayton Knapp made 30 saves and two in the shootout in the loss for Bismarck.
