NAHL Weekend Preview

The NAHL continues a busy month of December with a busy schedule of 29 games from Friday-Sunday.

The 2023-24 regular season is at the halfway point, and the standings continue to be tight at both the top of the standings and for the playoff spots in each division.

There were six more NCAA Division I commitments this week, which brings the current 2023-24 season total to 149 players in the NAHL who have made commitments.

In the Central this weekend, the red-hot Bismarck Bobcats look to add to their five-game winning streak as they host St. Cloud. The 1^st place Minot Minotauros host the North Iowa Bulls, who have lost five straight. The Aberdeen Wings look to add to their three-game winning streak as they host Austin.

In the East, the 1^st place Maine Nordiques enter their home series against Philadelphia riding a five-game winning streak. The New Hampshire Mountain Kings are on the road looking to snap a four-game slide against the New Jersey Titans. The Johnstown Tomahawks look to stay hot as they host the Maryland Black Bears. The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks are on the road to face the Rochester Jr. Americans.

In the Midwest Division, all teams are look to start new streaks. The Janesville Jets look to stayb with the Midwest leaders as they host Kenai River. The 1^st place Minnesota Wilderness are on the road Friday to face Chippewa. The 2^nd place Wisconsin Windigo host Fairbanks. Anchorage looks to keep their winning ways going with two more games in Springfield after winning on Thursday, 4-2.

In the South, Shreveport will host Colorado for one more game on Friday after winning 3-1 on Thursday. The New Mexico Ice Wolves host the Oklahoma Warriors with both teams on the outside looking in the playoff picture. The 1^st place Lone Star Brahmas host the Corpus Christi IceRays. Finally the Amarillo Wranglers are in Odessa looking to continue their winning ways after a 2-1 win on Thursday night.
