Rhinos complete three-game sweep on Sunday

Fairbanks goalie Tyler Krivtsov stopped all 33 shots that came his way in a 2-0 shutout win on Sunday.

New Mexico 1 @ El Paso 5 – Thanks to two goals apiece from Frank Tafelski and Camden Bajzer, the El Paso Rhinos completed a three-game home sweep of the Ice Wolves thanks to a 5-1 win on Sunday. It was all Rhinos in the early going as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st period with goals from Mason LeBel, Bajzer, and Tafelski. In the 2nd period, both Tafelski and Bajzer added their second goals of the game to make it 5-0. New Mexico would net their only goal late in the period from Francois Devilliers. Michael Manzi would make 32 saves in the win.

Fairbanks 2 @ Minnesota 0 – Thanks to a 33-save shutout from goaltender Tyler Krivtsov, the Fairbanks Ice Dogs salvaged a win in their three-game set against the Wilderness with a 2-0 shutout on Sunday. Both Ice Dogs goals came in the 1st period as Kole Altergott lit the lamp with assists to Josh Austin and Nik Gudmonson and then Marc Lund added the other goal with assists to Cole Burke and Brent Gulenchyn. Wilderness goalie Adam Prokop made 30 saves in the loss.
