NAHL Weekend Preview

The NAHL continues a busy month of December with a jam-packed schedule of 32 games from Friday-Sunday.

The 2023-24 regular season is approaching the halfway point, and the standings continue to be tight at both the top of the standings and for the playoff spots in each division.

There were nine more NCAA Division I commitments this week, which brings the current 2023-24 season total to 143 players in the NAHL who have made commitments.

Ugly Christmas Sweatshirt Sale: The sweatshirts, which were designed by the NAHL and produced by K1 Sportswear (official jersey supplier to the NAHL) are on sale now through Sunday, December 10th. There are three different kinds of sweatshirts, representing each of the three leagues under the NAHL family, inclusive of the NAPHL and the NA3HL.

In the Central Division, the Bismarck Bobcats look to extend their three-game winning streak as they travel to North Iowa to face the Bulls. The 1^st place Minot Minotauros face a tough test as they travel to Austin to take on the 3^rd place Bruins. The Aberdeen Wings take to the road to face St. Cloud Norsemen.

In the East Division, the Maryland Black Bears lead atop the division is down to a single point as they host the Philadelphia Rebels this weekend. The 2^nd place Maine Nordiques who are just a point behind travel to Rochester to take on the Jr. Americans, who are holding onto the 4^th playoff spot. In other action, the 3^rd place Northeast Generals host the New Jersey Titans and the Johnstown Tomahawks are in New Hampshire to take on the Mountain Kings. Danbury is idle.

In the Midwest Division, the 1^st place Minnesota Wilderness look to end their small losing skid as they host the Fairbanks Ice Dogs for a three-game series. The 2^nd place Wisconsin Windigo host their rival, the Chippewa Steel, who are in 3^rd place. The Anchorage Wolverines begin their extended road trip as they are in Janesville to take on the Jets. The Springfield Jr. Blues look to snap a five-game slide as they host the Kenai River Brown Bears.

In the South, the Amarillo Wranglers will be at home looking to slow down the 1^st place Lone Star Brahmas, who have won six straight games. Separated by just a single point in the standings, the New Mexico Ice Wolves and El Paso Rhinos square off in El Paso for a three-game series. The 2^nd place Shreveport Mudbugs return home to host the Oklahoma Warriors and the Corpus Christi IceRays are in Odessa as the Jackalopes continue their homestand.
