NAHL Weekend Preview

The NAHL begins the month of December with a jam-packed schedule of 31 games from Friday-Sunday.

The 2023-24 regular season is a third of the way done and the standings are tight at both the top of the standings and for the playoff spots in each division.

There were seven more NCAA Division I commitments this week, which brings the current 2023-24 season total to 134 players in the NAHL who have made commitments.

Ugly Christmas Sweatshirt Sale: The sweatshirts, which were designed by the NAHL and produced by K1 Sportswear (official jersey supplier to the NAHL) are on sale now through Thursday, December 7^th. There are three different kinds of sweatshirts, representing each of the three leagues under the NAHL family, inclusive of the NAPHL and the NA3HL.

In the Central Division this weekend, the red-hot St. Cloud Norsemen put their four-game winning streak on the line as they host the Bismarck Bobcats. For the second weekend in a row, the Aberdeen Wings and Minot Minotauros will face-off, this time in Aberdeen. The final series has the Austin Bruins and North Iowa Bulls facing one another in a home-and-home series.

In the East, the 1^st place Maryland Black Bears take to the road to face the Philadelphia Rebels during an NAPHL T1ER event this weekend at Hollydell Ice Arena. The Northeast Generals are on the road to face the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks. The New Jersey Titans are in Maine to take on the Nordiques and the Rochester Jr. Americans travel north to take on the New Hampshire Mountain Kings. Johnstown is idle.

In the Midwest Division, the Springfield Jr. Blues take to the road as they look to snap their losing skid in Janesville against the Jets. 1^st and 2^nd place tangle again as the 1^st place Minnesota Wilderness are in Wisconsin to take on the Windigo. The Fairbanks Ice Doge return to Marshall, Minnesota, for their annual ‘home’ games there as they play the Chippewa Steel. The final series is a battle in Alaska as the Kenai River Brown Bears and Anchorage Wolverines face-off in a home-and-home series.

In the South Division, the Amarillo Wranglers take to the road as they look to slow down the red-hot and 1^st place Lone Star Brahmas, who have won four in a row. The Shreveport Mudbugs look to add to their three-game winning streak as they are in Corpus Christi for three games against the IceRays. The 2^nd place El Paso Rhinos are in Odessa to take on the Jackalopes and the New Mexico Ice Wolves are in Oklahoma to take on the Warriors. Colorado is idle.
