NAHL Weekend Preview

The NAHL gets back to action this weekend with 28 games on the schedule from Friday-Sunday.

The 2023-24 regular season is a third of the way done and the standings are tight at both the top of the standings and for the playoff spots in each division.

There were six more NCAA Division I commitments this week, which brings the current 2023-24 season total to 127 players in the NAHL who have made commitments.

Ugly Christmas Sweatshirt Sale: The sweatshirts, which were designed by the NAHL and produced by K1 Sportswear (official jersey supplier to the NAHL) are on sale now through Thursday, December 7^th. There are three different kinds of sweatshirts, representing each of the three leagues under the NAHL family, inclusive of the NAPHL and the NA3HL.

In the Central Division this weekend, the 1^st place Minot Mintauros look to get back on track after Wednesday’s 6-5 loss in Bismarck as they host the Aberdeen Wings for two games. The St. Cloud Norsemen are on the road looking to continue their two-game winning streak as they face the Austin Bruins on Friday and the North Iowa Bulls on Saturday. The Bobcats have the weekend off.

In the East Division, the Maine Nordiques are gunning for the top spot in the East as they have a three-game winning streak going and host the 3^rd place Northeast Generals. The Rochester Jr. Americans take to the road to Johnstown to face the Tomahawks in a three-game set. The 1^st place Maryland Black Bears host the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks for a two-game series, and the New Jersey Titans put their three-game win streak on the line with a road series against the Philadelphia Rebels.

In the Midwest, the red-hot and 1^st place Minnesota Wilderness put their four-game winning streak on the line in Janesville against the Jets, who are tied for 3^rd place. The battle for supremacy in Wisconsin continues as the Windigo travel to face their in-state rival in the Chippewa Steel. In Alaska, another rivalry continues as the Kenai River Brown Bears are in Fairbanks to take on the Ice Dogs.

In the South, it’s a full slate of games as the 1^st place Lone Star Brahmas host the Oklahoma Warriors. The Colorado Grit look to snap their four-game slide as Corpus Christi comes to town for the first time. The Odessa Jackalopes begin a long homestand as they have three game this weekend, including two against Shreveport on Friday and Saturday and then host Amarillo on Sunday. Meanwhile, Amarillo will play two games in El Paso against the Rhinos on Friday and Saturday before heading to Odessa on Sunday.
