Fairbanks forward Welsch makes NCAA commitment

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Brady Welsch has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Williams College.

Welsch, 21, just completed his second season playing in the NAHL for the Ice Dogs. The 5’7/155 lbs. native of Fond du Lac, WI, appeared in 58 games during the 2022-23 regular season and recorded 34 points (15 goals, 19 assists).

Welsch was also selected to and played in the 2023 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Midwest Division team.

During the 2021-22 season, he appeared in 26 games with the Ice Dogs and recorded 12 points (6 goals, 6 assists).

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Welsch spent four seasons playing high school hockey in Wisconsin for Fond du Lac Springs High and also Team Wisconsin.
