North Iowa forward Kimmen makes NCAA commitment

June 22, 2023

The North Iowa Bulls are pleased to announce that forward Tristan Kimmen has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Nichols College.

The 5’10/198 lbs. native of Lethbridge, Alberta, Kimmen recorded 25 points in 57 NAHL regular season games split between El Paso and North Iowa during the 2022-23 season.

Kimmen, 20, appeared in 36 games for the Rhinos and recorded 16 points (9 goals, 7 assists). He was traded at the deadline to North Iowa where he recorded nine points (2 goals, 7 assists) in 21 gamaes played.

"Tristan brought offensive depth to our team and contributed through his consistent effort and ability.  He is a guy we would have liked to have had for more of the season. His impact was immediately felt going +5 and adding 3 points in his first 6 games with us,” said former Bulls head coach Todd Sanden.
