Bismarck forward Hanson makes NCAA commitment

The Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Calvin Hanson has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for St. Norbert College.

Hanson, 20, just completed his second and final season of playing junior hockey in the NAHL with the Bobcats. The 5’9/165 lbs. native of Hallock, MN, was 2nd in team scoring during the 2022-23 regular season with 47 points (23 goals, 24 assists) in 56 games played.

Hanson was named the Central Division Star of the Week for the week of January 16-22, 2023. He was also selected to and played in the 2023 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Division team, recording a goal and an assist.

During the 2021-22 season, Hanson recorded 33 points (10 goals, 23 assists) in 53 games played.

During the 2020-21 season, Hanson primarily played in the NAPHL for the Northstar Knights 18U team, recording 11 points in 12 regular season games and three points in five Dixon Cup Playoff games, helping the Knights to the Championship. He also made his NAHL debut that season in mid-May with the Bobcats.
