Kenai River defenseman Hill makes NCAA commitment

The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman and captain Brendan Hill has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Trine University.

Hill, 21, just completed his second season playing in the NAHL and third season of junior hockey overall. The 5’11/175 lbs. native of South Lyon, MI, served as team captain during the 2021-22 regular season.

Hill played in all 60 regular season games for the Brown Bears and had 12 points (1 goal, 11 assists).

Hill made his NAHL debut on September 22, 2018 with the Minot Minotauros.

He began the 2020-21 season with the Maryland Black Bears where he played in 14 games and recorded three points. He was then traded to Kenai River where he appeared in 33 games and recorded seven points for the remainder of the regular season.

Overall in 108 career NAHL games, Hill recorded 22 points.

Prior to playing junior hockey, Hill played high school hockey in Michigan for Detroit Catholic Central.
