The Kenai River Brown Bears, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Jackson Nauss has committed to play for NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in the WIAC.
Nauss, 20, was a late season addition to the Brown Bears roster and also played for the Minnesota Magicians and Corpus Christ Ice Rays this past season. The 6’0/175 lbs. native of Wayzata, Minnesota, finished the 2018-19 season with 7 goals and 11 assists for 18 points while playing in 57 games.
During his two-year career in the NAHL, Nauss played 103 games compiling 28 total points – 13 goals and 15 assists.
“Jackson came to us late in the season and was a great addition to our team. His strength in the face off circle, defensive zone support/coverage and the way he prepared .to play every day was impressive,” stated Associate General Manager, Chris Hedlund.
“Thanks to everyone involved that made my time in the NAHL a success. I am excited to move on to the University of Wisconsin – River Falls and play NCAA hockey,” said Nauss.
