Fairbanks forward Renfrew makes NCAA DI commitment

The Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Billy Renfrew has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Northern Michigan University in the CCHA.
Renfrew, 19, is in his third season playing junior hockey in the NAHL with the Ice Dogs. The 5’10/175 native of Fairbanks, AK, is having another great year in 2022-23 as he is currently leading the Ice Dogs in scoring with 41 points (18 goals, 23 assists) in just 31 games played.
“I am proud to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at Northern Michigan University. I’d like to thank my friends, family, teammates, and coaches who have helped me along the way,” said Renfrew.
During the 2021-22 season, Renfrew was second in team scoring with 52 points in 60 regular season games played.
Overall in 122 career NAHL regular season games, Renfrew has recorded 110 career points. He also has four points in seven Robertson Cup Playoff games.
