Janesville forward Doyle makes NCAA DI commitment
The Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Jimmy Doyle has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Bentley University in Atlantic Hockey.
Doyle, 20, is in his fourth and final season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 6’2/190 lbs. native of Plainfield, IL, is currently leading the Jets in scoring for the 2022-23 season with 34 points (19 goals, 15 assists) in 41 games played to date.

Doyle was just named the Midwest Division Star of the Week for January 23-29, as he had six points (2 goals, 4 assists) and was a +3 in two home wins over the Chippewa Steel.
“Our entire organization is extremely happy for Jimmy and this commitment to Bentley,” said Jets head coach Joe Dibble. “He has been a driver of our team since the beginning of the year. He is playing at a high level with great compete, and offensive production. Jimmy’s ability to create offensively and strong defensive play propelled the team forward in a great weekend.”
Last season, Doyle played in 30 regular season games for the Jets and recorded 16 points.
He made his NAHL debut during the 2019-20 season with the Minnesota Magicians, putting up 15 points in 28 games. During the 2020-21 season, he appeared in 36 regular season games with the Bismarck Bobcats and recorded eight points.
Overall in 135 career NAHL regular season games, Doyle has recorded 73 points.
