Aberdeen forward Forselius makes NCAA DI commitment

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are excited to announce that forward Nils Forselius has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Army-West Point in Atlantic Hockey.
Forselius, a 5’9/170 lbs. forward from Guildord, CT, is currently in his rookie season with the Wings. In 20 games played so far, he has seven goals and four assists for a total of 11 points on the season, good for eighth in team scoring and the top points-earner among rookies on the Wings roster.
Forselius, 19, previously played for Pomfret School, donning the “C” on his sweater during the 2021-22 season, notching 12 goals and 19 assists in 26 games played.
“Nils is a player that came in as a free agent and worked himself into a major minute contributor,” Wings head coach Scott Langer said. “He is a player that continues to develop and will be a great fit for Army Hockey.”
“I’m extremely proud, honored and humbled to commit to a school as prestigious as West Point,” Forselius said. “I’d like to thank my family, Coach Langer and Dave Maciuk for all their support.”
