Austin and Oklahoma keep rolling with wins on Thursday

Oklahoma forward William Lawson-Body extended his point streak to six straight games with a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win on Thursday.

North Iowa 0 @ Austin 3 – Thanks to a 16-save shutout from goalie Ethan Robertson, the Austin Bruins kept their current winning streak rolling and widen their lead atop the Central Division to seven points thanks to a 3-0 win over the Bulls on Thursday. Giuseppe Fiorillo opened the scoring in the 1st period with his first goal of the season. In the 2nd period, goals from Jack Malinski and Austin Salani put the game out of reach. Bulls goalie Mitch Day made 30 saves in the loss.

Odessa 2 @ Oklahoma 4 – The Warriors kept their hot play going as four different players scored in a 4-2 home win over the Jackalopes on Thursday. Oklahoma was boosted by three straight goals to open the game in the 1st period as they took a 3-0 lead with tallies from Malte Hasselgren, Brendan Williams, and William Lawson-Body. Before the period was out, the Jackalopes got a goal from Tanyon Bajzer to make it 3-1. In the 2nd period, Rylan Brady scored for the Warriors to make it 4-1. Emerson Goode added Odessa’s second goal in the 3rd period. Cameron Korpi made 20 saves in the win, while Gergely Orosz made 34 saves in the loss.
