NAHL announces partnership with Bethel University

September 9, 2022

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is pleased to announce it has partnered with Bethel University to provide online higher education access for players. Bethel has been named the preferred university services partner of the NAHL and the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL).

With this partnership, players in both the NAHL and NA3HL now have a league partner that can accommodate their continuing education online at the collegiate level, while they play hockey.

"We are excited about partnering with the NAHL and NA3HL to provide flexible and relevant educational opportunities that meet the unique needs of their players. We appreciate the discipline and focus of the players and believe our highly individualized advising and academic support will translate into their success in coursework." said Bethel University Associate Provost of Innovation and Partnerships, Dr. Jess Daniels.

“Providing our post-graduate players with an accredited online option for college remains a high priority in the development process of their education. The educational component is just as important as the on-ice component for the NCAA-bound player, so it is good to have a trusted and proven partner assisting us at the university level. In addition, we will be excited to have represetatives from Bethel University at many of our Minnesota-based events to speak to players and parents about their options,” said NAHL Director of Communications and Marketing, Alex Kyrias.

At Bethel University, players will find the support needed to pursue their education in a way that compliments their hockey career. With the flexibility to build their schedule around their season and complete their coursework online, they won't need to sacrifice their dreams to earn their degree.

Bethel’s online programs offer:

• Associate’s and bachelor’s degree options if you’ve graduated high school

• Flexible schedules that fit the hockey season

• Affordable tuition rates (including free classes for Minnesota high school students looking for college credits)

• Robust course options, including lab classes

• Accessible professors and comprehensive student support
