Springfield defenseman Boxer makes NCAA commitment

The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Jack Boxer has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for St. Olaf College.
Boxer, a 6’3/190 lbs. native of Colorado Springs, CO, finished up his junior career in Springfield after parts of three seasons within the Amarillo/North Iowa Bulls organization. In 29 games with the Jr. Blues in 2021-22, the blueliner recorded 1 goal and 7 assists and was a +7 after appearing in 21 games with 4 assists for North Iowa.
“Jack joined us just before the halfway mark of the season and provided a veteran presence on the blueline for us from day one,” said Head Coach Tyler Rennette. “He’s earned this opportunity at St. Olaf and we are excited to see what he’s able to accomplish.”
In 75 career NAHL games, Boxer accumulated 2 goals, 15 assists, and a +15 rating. He played his youth hockey in the Colorado Rampage organization before joining Amarillo during the 2018-19 season.
