Anchorage forward Friesen makes NCAA commitment
The Anchorage Wolverines of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce that forward Colton Friesen has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
Friesen, 20, just completed his fourth season of junior hockey and first season playing in the NAHL. The 5’11/180 lbs. native of Winnipeg, MB, tied for 6th in team scoring during the 2021-22 regular season putting up 36 points (11 goals, 25 assists) in 60 games played.
During the Wolverines run to the Robertson Cup Championship game, Friesen led the team in playoff scoring with 10 points (6 goals, 4 assists) in 10 Robertson Cup Playoff games. Friesen was named to the Robertson Cup All-Tournament Team, recording three points in three games at the event.
Friesen is the 8th player from the Wolverines 2021-22 team who has made an NCAA commitment.
