Johnstown forward Schmitt makes NCAA commitment

The Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Egan Schmitt has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Babson College.

Schmitt, 21, just completed his third and final season of junior hockey and first season playing in the NAHL with the Tomahawks.

The 6’1/175 lbs. native of Cambridge, NY, finished 7th in team scoring during the 2021-22 season, recording 36 points (16 goals, 20 assists) in just 45 regular season games played.

Schmitt was named the East Division Star of the Week for March 28-April 3, as he put up four points in a weekend road sweep over New Jersey. He also had two points in in five Robertson Cup Playoff games.
