Springfield defenseman Juzych makes NCAA commitment

The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman Daniel Juzych has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Colby College.
Juzych, 20, is a native of Bloomfield Hills, MI and just wrapped up his second junior hockey season in the NAHL and first with the Jr. Blues.
Juzych (6'2/185) battled through several injuries during the 2021-22 season and appeared in 35 games overall and tallied 1 goal and 7 assists, which included his first junior hockey goal.
Juzych was acquired from the Fairbanks Ice Dogs prior to this season after appearing in 21 games during the 2020-21 season, tallying 1 assist.
“Danny joined us with some NAHL experience under his belt and was a true leader all season long," said Head Coach Tyler Rennette. "Colby is getting a good player who is an even better young man, and we are very happy for him!"
Juzych joins Fisher Scott (Colorado College), Michael Valdez (Colorado College), Connor Smith (Union College), Hagen Moe (Bowling Green), Joey Dosan (Army-West Point), Ethan Roberts (St. Thomas), Mac Gadowsky (Army-West Point), and Tristan Shewchuk (St. Scholastica) as the tenth player from the 2021-22 roster to commit to an NCAA program.
