Bismarck forward Troumbly makes NCAA DI commitment

The Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Ben Troumbly has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Augustana University in the CCHA.
Troumbly, 20, just completed his second and final season of junior hockey in the NAHL. The 5’7/160 lbs. native of Bovey, MN, tied for 3rd in team scoring during the 2021-22 season with 33 points in just 45 games played, which included 11 goals and 22 assists.
“I’m honored to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey and further my education at Augustana University! A big thanks to everyone who has supported and helped me along the way,” said Troumbly. “"I knew Garrett Raboin (Augustana Head Coach), he's a great coach, a great guy. Then when I went down there and looked at it [they have] great facilities, nice school. It'll be a fun ride, start of something special. I think they're going to have a great program."
Troumbly made his junior hockey debut with the Bobcats during the 2020-21 season, recording 19 points in 53 games played.
In 11 career Robertson Cup Playoff games during the past two seasons, Troumbly has recorded four points.
Prior to playing in the NAHL for the Bobcats, Troumbly played high school hockey in Minnesota for Greenway High. In 2019, Troumbly scored the game winning goal in overtime over Mahtomedi in the Class A boy's hockey state semifinals to lift the Raiders to their first title game since 1992.
