Kenai River defenseman Henry makes NCAA commitment

The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Sean Henry has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Trine University.
Henry, 21, just completed his fourth and final season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 6’0/205 lbs. native of White Lake, MI, boasted career-highs in all categories during the 2021-22 season in Kenai River, playing in all 60 regular season games and recording 15 points (7 goals, 8 assists).
Henry made his NAHL debut with the Maryland Black Bears during the 2018-19 season, appearing in 32 games and recording three points.
During the 2019-20 season, he began the regular season with the Minnesota Magicians, but was traded early on to the New Mexico Ice Wolves, where he played in 38 games during the regular season and recorded 10 points.
The 2020-21 season saw Henry play in 15 games with the Ice Wolves and record one goal.
Overall in 146 NAHL games over the course of four seasons, Henry put up 29 points.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Henry spent three seasons playing for Belle Tire in Michigan.
