Chippewa forward Tushie makes NCAA commitment

The Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward and NA3HL alum Colin Tushie has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Saint Mary’s University.
Tushie, 20, just completed his second season of junior hockey and first in the NAHL. The 5’11/190 lbs. native of Prior Lake, MN, began the season playing for the Minnesota Magicians in the NAHL. In 25 games played for Minnesota, Tushie recorded six points (2 goals, 4 assists).
He was traded to Chippewa right before the trade deadline and had three points in 18 regular season games with the Steel.
Prior to playing in the NAHL this season, Tushie spent the 2020-21 season playing in the NA3HL with the Alexandria Blizzard. In 32 regular season games, Tushie recorded 29 points (17 goals, 12 assists).
Prior to playing junior hockey, Tushie spent three seasons playing high school hockey in Minnesota for Prior Lake High.
