Austin forward Riddle makes NCAA commitment
The Austin Bruins, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Bruins' Captain and Top Prospects Forward Carson Riddle has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Aurora University.

Riddle, 20, leaves the Bruins as #4 All-Time in Points (120P), #5 All-Time in Goals (48G), and #1 All-Time in Games Played (207 GP) in franchise history.
The 5’9/165 lbs. native of Holly, MI, joined the Bruins during the 2018-19 Season and was an Alternate Captain during the 2020-21 season and was named the 11th Captain for the Bruins for the 2021-22 Season.
"We are beyond excited for Carson,” Head Coach Steve Howard said. "He is a great leader in the locker room and on the ice. He's been a big part of our program for four seasons and will fit in well at Aurora."
Riddle’s best season came this past season in 2021-22 when he finished 2nd in team scoring with 45 points (20 goals, 25 assists) in 52 regular season games played. He also added three points in three Robertson Cup Playoff games.
Riddle played in two NAHL Top Prospects Tournaments during his NAHL career, which included 2022 for the Central Division team and 2020 for the Selects Blue team.
Riddle will be joining teammate, Alex Trombley, at Aurora as Trombley announced his commitment to the Aurora Spartans last week. Aurora University is a private university located in Aurora, Illinois. Aurora competes at the NCAA Division III level and is a member of the NCHA (Northern Collegiate Hockey Association) and plays out of the Fox Valley Ice Arena.
