Anchorage forward Pederson makes NCAA commitment

The Anchorage Wolverines of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Collin Pederson has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
“It feels great to commit! Committing is a big milestone in my hockey journey and is a testament to all the work I’ve put in. My experience with the Wolverines has been nothing short of amazing, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to play junior hockey,” said Pederson.
The UW-Superior Yellowjackets play in the NCAA Division III Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). The Yellowjackets WIAC title run ended in the semifinals of the conference tournament this season. Superior finished 4th in the standings with a 6-6-1 conference record (15-12-2 overall).
Pederson, who was voted assistant captain of this year’s inaugural Wolverines team that just finished as Robertson Cup Runner-Up, posted 7 goals and 8 assists for 15 points during the regular season. In the postseason, Pederson tallied 3 helpers in 10 games played.
Director of Hockey Operations Keith Morris said, “Collin was an integral part of our first season. He brought excellent leadership and commitment everyday He is a big strong player who can play many roles on a team. UW-Superior is getting a future captain.”
Prior to playing in the NAHL this season, Pederson spent last season playing for the Rochester Grizzlies in the NA3HL, where he recorded 8 points in 10 regular season games and had four points in eight Fraser Cup Playoff games.
