Warriors forward Korpi makes NCAA DI commitment

The Oklahoma Warriors (formerly the Wichita Falls Warriors) of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Carter Korpi has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Union College in the ECAC.
Korpi, 20, just completed his third and final season playing in the NAHL. The 6’0/190 lbs. native of South Lyon, MI, recorded 39 points (13 goals, 26 assists) in 40 regular season games played during the 2021-22 season with the Warriors.
"I am proud and honored to announce my commitment to play Division 1 college hockey at Union College! I cannot thank my family, teammates, friends, coaches, and billets enough for all they have done for me. #GoDutchmen,” said Korpi.
“Carter has been a player that has worked his way through a line-up at the junior level to get opportunities to have success. He has done everything asked of him and last season proved he is a go to guy that can produce in big moments. Carter has worked through a lot, and has overcome adversity to get this opportunity,” said Warriors head coach Garrett Roth. “The process isn’t always a straight line, and Carter has proven that with hard work and determination, you can achieve the goals you set for yourself.”
Korpi was selected to and played in the 2021 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the South Division team, where he recorded two points in two games played.
In 117 career NAHL games with the Warriors, Minot Minotauros, Bismarck Bobcats, and Jamestown Rebels, Korpi has recorded 83 career points.
