Ice Wolves raise over $53,285 to help feed Ukrainian children

April 28, 2022

The New Mexico Ice Wolves announced that the special support Ukraine jerseys efforts brought in $53,285 for the Feed My Starving Children organization to provide 220,020 meals for Ukrainians impacted by the war.

The game-worn jerseys auction on DASH Auctions raised $15,068 with 100% of the auction price going to the Feed My Starving Children organization along with an additional $38,217 contributed directly by fans and supporters in New Mexico.

The special jerseys were created by K1 Sportswear and the team wore them in a home game series against the Odessa Jackalopes on April 15, following a moving pre-game ceremony with members of Ukrainian Americans of New Mexico. To view and download high resolution photos of the special support Ukraine jerseys please visit the NM Ice Wolves press page here.

Feed My Starving Children has been providing meals across the globe for more than 30 years and currently delivers more than one million meals across the globe each day. The organization has been helping to feed Ukrainian people in need for the past eight years, so already has the contacts and infrastructure in place to provide meals in Ukraine and in neighboring countries that have welcomed millions of refugees. To learn more about the work of Feed My Starving Children please visit www.fmsc.org and for those who would still like to make a donation please visit www.fmsc.org/IceWolves

“We were hoping to make a big impact to help feed displaced Ukrainians and with thanks to NM Ice Wolves fans and supporters, New Mexico delivered,” said Stan E. Hubbard, owner of the New Mexico Ice Wolves and Outpost Ice Arenas. “The feedback and support we have received shows how much this effort meant to our fans and others in New Mexico and beyond. Feed My Starving Children is an incredible organization that we are proud to be able to partner with on such an important effort and want to thank everyone who gave to this critical cause.”
