February 2, 2022

The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Hagen Moe has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Bowling Green State University in the CCHA.

Moe, 18, is in his first junior hockey season and has continued to contribute consistently since joining the Jr. Blues early in the season. The 6’0/180 lbs. native of Grand Rapids, MI, has recorded 15 goals and 10 assists for 25 points in 29 games played with the Jr. Blues so far this season to go along with a +9 rating.

“I am honored and proud to announce my commitment to play D1 hockey for Bowling Green. I want to thank my family, friends, and coaches who got me to this point. Go Falcons!!!” stated Moe.

He had played previously within the Belle Tire program for the last four seasons, capped off by a 46-point performance during the 2020-21 season for their 18U AAA team.

“Hagen is a hard worker who comes every day to the rink ready to compete,” said Head Coach Tyler Rennette. “Bowling Green is getting a phenomenal young man and we are very proud of him.”

Hagen is the fourth player on the Jr. Blues to commit to an NCAA Division 1 program this season as he joins Connor Smith (Union College), Fisher Scott (Colorado College), and Michael Valdez (Colorado College). He will join a Bowling Green program that currently has two Jr. Blues alumni playing for them in Sam Craggs (2015-16) and Coale Norris (2015-16).
