Janesville defenseman Casperson makes NCAA DI commitment
The Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects defenseman AJ Casperson has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Long Island University.
Casperson, 20, is in his second season playing for the Jets in the NAHL. The 6’2/190 lbs. native of Flower Mound, TX, currently has 15 points in 24 games played so far during the 2021-22 campaign,

Casperson made his junior hockey debut last season with the Jets, appearing in 41 games and recording seven points.
He was selected to and played in the 2021 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Midwest Division in June of 2021, where he recorded an assist in two games played.
“We are very proud of AJ and his recent division one commitment to LIU. AJ has been a Jet for almost two years now and has poured his heart and soul into our organization. I know he will do the same at Long Island. It’s a great fit for AJ and for LIU. They are getting a great player, student, leader and person. His commitment is well deserved,” said Jets head coach Parker Burgess.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Casperson played for the Rochester Coalition, Salisbury School, and Dallas Stars Elite.
