NAHL announces results of 2021 Supplemental Draft

June 3, 2021

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) is pleased to announce the results of the 2021 Supplemental Draft, which was held on Wednesday, June 2nd online at nahl.com.

The Supplemental Draft is necessary to serve as an additional outlet for teams to make decisions on how players performed in the 2020-21 season. A lot of time and effort has gone into scouting and recruiting. This way teams can make some decisions early for their rosters for the upcoming 2021-22 season

In total, 87 players were selected in the draft, which took two hours to complete.

“We felt with the delays and uncertainties during the 2020-21 season, that getting prospective players on the right path was a big priority, so that’s why we continued with a Supplemental Draft in 2021. There are tryout camps coming up and the players that were selected in the Supplemental Draft are those that our teams have done their homework and scouting on during the 2020-21 season,” said NAHL Commissioner and President Mark Frankenfeld. “Players will continue to develop over the summer and some of the best players in the NAHL are discovered through our two drafts and the tryout process.”
