The Amarillo Bulls of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Jere Vaisanen has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Bemidji State University next fall.
“I am extremely proud and excited to announce my commitment to Bemidji State University,” Vaisanen said. “I am honored to have the opportunity to join such a great program. I want to thank my family, teammates and coaches for making this possible.”

The top scoring forward has stepped up in a big way for the Bulls this year and has adjusted very quickly to the North American style of hockey. He was named the NAHL’s South Division Star of the Week for the week of February 22-28, 2021.
“We are very excited to announce Jere’s commitment to Bemidji St. Jere has been an incredible piece to our team’s success this season and gets better every game,” Head Coach Rocky Russo said. “He continues to score big goals for our team and plays hard in all situations.”
Bemidji State University plays in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and is located in Bemidji, Minnesota. During the 2021-22 season they will move to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).
“I have no doubt that he is going to be an impactful player for Coach Serratore and his staff.” Russo said.
Vaisanen joins eight of his current Bulls teammates to announce their college commitment to play NCAA Division I college hockey.
