Friday Finals: Bobcats, Generals pick up big road wins
Bismarck 8 @ St. Cloud 1 - The Bismarck Bobcats offense exploded for eight goals as they knocked off the St. Cloud Norsemen 8-1 on Friday night. Owen Michaels potted a pair of goals and chipped in two assists to lead the Bobcats offense. George Grannis had four points of his own as he had a goal and three assists. Dalton Wright and Thomas Bergsland each had a goal and an assist. Will Magnuson and Braden Costello both lit the lamp as well in the Bismarck victory. Northeast 2 @ Maine 1 - The Northeast Generals scored two goals 45 seconds apart in the 2nd period and that would be all the offense they would need as Hugo Haas stopped 46 of the 47 shots thrown in his direction in the Generals 2-1 win over the Maine Nordiques. J.R. Pardon and Ricky Boysen each tallied their first goals of the season while Jake Hosszu and Zach Lindewirth picked up the assists. James Philpott scored his second of the year with help from Aidan Connolly and Reese Farrell. Tyriq Outen made 31 saves in a losing effort for Maine.
