NAHL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending October 25, 2020.  The Divisional Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2020-21 regular season that honors the top performing players in each of the four NAHL divisions. Only players that are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the Divisional Players of the Week award.

Central Division Star of the Week: Jordan Randall, Forward, Aberdeen Wings

For the second straight week, Aberdeen Wings veteran forward Jordan Randall, 20, has claimed Central Division honors. The 6’0/197 lbs. native of native of Maple Grove, MN, and NAPHL grad came up big for the Wings in their weekend home-and-home sweep of the Bismarck Bobcats. Randall had six points in the two wins, which included a hat-trick and two assists in an 8-3 home win on Friday and a goal in a 5- 1 road win on Saturday. “Jordan again had another fantastic weekend. He continued to lead us against a very good Bobcat team. He is preparing the right way each week and it’s leading to playing with confidence. Jordan’s success makes this evident,” said Wings head coach Scott Langer.

2nd Star: Keenan Rancier, G, Minot Minotauros

East Division Star of the Week: Isaiah Fox, Forward, Maine Nordiques

Maine Nordiques veteran forward Isaiah Fox, 20, had a big weekend to help his team put together a three-game weekend home sweep of the New Jersey Titans. The 5’11/163 lbs. native of Montreal, Quebec, had six points (3 goals, 3 assists) and was a +3 in the three wins. On Friday, Fox had two goals, including the game-winner and two assists in a 6-1 win. On Saturday, he scored the shootout winner in a 2-1 shootout win. On Sunday, he had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win. “Isaiah has been tremendous for all us season long and a real leader on and off the ice. He was a force this past weekend, not only with his points and shootout winner, but also with his penalty killing, his discipline, and his play away from the puck. We look forward to him making his NCAA D1 commitment soon and continuing his strong play for the remainder of the season,” said Maine head coach Nolan Howe.

Midwest Division Star of the Week: No Games

 

South Division Star of the Week: Spencer Rudrud, Forward, New Mexico Ice Wolves

It was a solid start to the 2020-21 season for forward Spencer Rudrud, 20, and the New Mexico Ice Wolves. The Ice Wolves split a weekend series against the Lone Star Brahmas with Rudrud making an impact in both games. On Friday, the 6’1/190 lbs. native of Eden Prairie, MN, had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win. On Saturday, he added another goal and an assist in a close 4-3 loss, which totaled a four-point weekend. “I was happy to Spencer have success this weekend. He’s worked hard ever since he’s been an Ice Wolf. It’s nice to see him get rewarded for the work he’s put in,” said New Mexico head coach Phil Fox.
