Saturday Scores: Wings stay perfect with sweep

Aberdeen forward Jordan Randall had three goals this weekend, including the game-winning goal in both wins.

Bismarck 0 @ Aberdeen 3 - The Aberdeen Wings finished off the sweep of the Bismarck Bobcats as the Wings blanked Bismarck 3-0. Jake Sibell turned aside all 25 shots thrown his way in the win. Jordan Randall, Nathan Mann and Thomas Manty were the goal scorers for the Wings, who improved to 4-0 on the season. Tommy Aitken made 28 saves in between the pipes for the Bobcats.

Maine 2 @ Johnstown 5 - A four goal outburst in the third period propelled the Johnstown Tomahawks to a 5-2 victory over the Maine Nordiques. Andrew Murphy, Ohlt Oliphant, Brendan Clark and Max Neill all found the back of the net in the third period as the Tomahawks improved to 2-1-1 on the short season. Alex Gritz also scored for the winners. Connor Strobel picked up the win in goal as he made 25 saves. Stefan Owens and Reese Farrell netted goals for Maine as Tyriq Outen made 31 stopes in the loss.

Maryland 4 @ New Jersey 3 (SO) - The Maryland Black Bears improved to 3-0-1 on the season as they topped the New Jersey Titans 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday night. Seth Bergeron, Jude Kurtas and Grady Friedman were the goal scorers for the Black Bears while David Posma, Matthew Doyle and Jack Ring lit the lamp for the Titans. Friedman and Daniel Colabufo netted goals in the shootout while Isaiah DiLaura stopped two out of three in the skills competition. DiLaura finished with 23 saves in the win and Louden Hogg took the loss despite making 45 saves.

MN Wilderness 5 @ Minot 4 (OT) - Dominkis Marcinkevics scored the game winning goal at the 2:49 mark of overtime as the Minnesota Wilderness picked up their first win of the 2020-21 season, defeating the Minot Minotauros 5-4. Five different members of the Wilderness found the back of the net including Dane Stoyanoff, Mitchell Allard, Ethan Welters and Gunner Thoreson. Atticus Kelly picked up the win in the crease, making 21 saves. Damon Zimmer potted a pair of goals in a losing effort for Minot. Joseph Harguindeguy and Isaac Keller also found the back of the net. AJ Ruskowski took the loss in goal, making 23 saves.
