Friday's Boxscores

Maryland 5 @ New Jersey 3 - The Maryland Black Bears would not relinquish their five goal lead this time as they jumped out 5-0 against the New Jersey Titans and would go on to win 5-3 on Friday night. Daniel Colabufo led the Black Bears offense with two goals and an assist. Reid Leibold and Luke Mountain each had a goal and an assist. As well for the Black Bears. Michael Morelli stopped 34 shots to earn the win in the crease. Joe Schubert netted a pair of goals for the Titans while Stephen Willey also scored in the loss. Berk Berkeliev made 21 saves in a losing effort.

Aberdeen 6 @ Bismarck 4 - The Aberdeen Wings led 4-1 over the Bismarck Bobcats in the third period but 3 Bobcat goals in 90 seconds tied the game. But it Jordan Randall and Natan Vertes who sealed the 6-4 win with goals in the final minutes of action. Randall’s second of the game was the one that gave Aberdeen the lead for good. Thomas Manty , Nathan Mann and Christian Abrams all scored for the Wings in the win. Jon Ziskie potted a pair of goals for the Bobcats while John Gormley and Dawson Klein each found the back of the net for Bismarck. Jake Sibell earned the win in between the pipes as he made 29 saves. Tommy Aitken took the loss for Bismarck as he made 31 stops.

MN Wilderness 2 @ Minot 4 - Joseph Harguindeguy led the Minot offense with two goals and an assist as the Minotauros defeated the Minnesota Wilderness 4-2. Damon Zimmer and Zach Kilen also scored for Minot in the win. Mitchell Allard and Christian Galatz netted goals for the Wilderness in their first game of the season. Keenan Rancier won his second game of the year as he turned aside 42 shots while Kaleb Johnson made 26 saves in the loss for Minnesota.

Maine 3 @ Johnstown 2 (SO) - Stefan Owens netted the game deciding goal in the shootout as the Maine Nordiques edged the Johnstown Tomahawks 3-2 to stay perfect in the 2020-21 season. The Nordiques jumped out to a 2-0 lead as Reese Farrell and Jack Strauss each scored their third goal of the season. Johnstown’s Jay Ahearn brought the game within one with his second of the year. Dominic Schimizzi tied the game up early in the third to earn at least a point for the Tomahawks. Tyriq Outen made 49 saves and stopped all three shooters in the shootout to preserve the win while Sam Evola made 28 saves for Johnstown.

Danbury 3 @ Northeast 2 - The Danbury Jr Hat Tricks improved to 2-1 on the season as they defeated the Northeast Generals 3-2. Mark D’Agostino potted a pair of goals for the Jr Hat Tricks while Valentino Passarelli found the back of the net for the first time this season. Edward Nordlund stopped 23 shots to earn the win in goal. Zach Lindewirth and Kyle Schroeder tallied goals for the Generals in the loss. Joey Stanizzi stopped 35 of 38 shots in net for Northeast.
