May 5, 2020
The Amarillo Bulls of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward David Hill has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point of the WIAC.
Hill, 20, spent his only season in Amarillo during the 2019-20 season as he made the team as a free agent out of camp. The two-way forward and 5’10/175 lbs. native of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, was able to notch five goals and nine assists for 14 points in the 51 games he suited up for.
“I’m excited for the opportunity at Wisconsin Stevens Point to continue my career at the NCAA level.” Hill says, “I really like the coaching staff there, it’s a very successful hockey team and an opportunity for a great education. I’d like to thank the Bulls for all their help this season.”
“We are very proud of David and excited for him and his Family. Wisconsin-Stevens Point has had incredible success in the past and they are building a tremendous class for the 2020-21 season. David was a young man that made our team as a free agent last season and showed day in and day out how important he was to our team on the ice and as a leader. He is a versatile player that can play multiple positions and in all situations. We expect him to be a great addition to the Pointers both on the ice and in the classroom,” said Bulls head coach Rocky Russo.
