In the Central Division this week, the 1st place Aberdeen Wings are rolling with a 10-point lead in the division as they take their four-game winning streak on the road to St. Cloud to face a Blizzard squad that has dropped six straight. It is a tight battle in the middle of the pack for 2nd through 4th place and the battle of North Dakota resumes this weekend with the 3rd place Bismarck Bobcats and 4th place Minot Minotauros engaging in a home-and-home series this weekend, separated by two points in the standing. The 2nd place Austin Bruins are outside of the division to take on Chippewa from the Midwest and the Wilderness are also facing a Midwest Division opponent in the Janesville Jets.

In the East Division, all seven teams are in action, including a battle of the top two teams as 1st place New Jersey hosts the 2nd place Johnstown Tomahawks. The 3rd place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights are in Northeast to take on the Generals in a three-game set, as the Generals are looking to snap a four-game slide. The other East series has the Maryland Black Bears trying to snap a five-game skid as they visit Jamestown.  The Maine Nordiques are just three points out of the final playoff spot and will have a tough task out of the division in Fairbanks this weekend.

In the Midwest this weekend, with the Magicians idle, the other five teams all play outside of the division. The 1st place Fairbanks Ice Dogs have a 10-point lead and are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games as they host the Maine Nordiques. The Kenai River Brown Bears are looking to snap their seven-game slide as they host New Mexico from the South. The Chippewa Steel are firmly in 3rd place and will host Austin. The Janesville Jets are on the road to face the Wilderness, and the Springfield Jr. Blues face a tough task with two games in Topeka against the Pilots from the South Division.
