Sunday Wrap-Up: Offense sparks Brahmas to three-game sweep

WBS Knights goalie Zach Stejskal stopped 65 of 67 shots in a weekend sweep of Jamestown.
Odessa 1 @ Lone Star 10 – Joey Baez completed his weekend with seven goals and an assist, which included another goal and an assist as Lone Star breezed their way to a three-game home sweep of the Jackalopes thanks to a 10-1 win on Sunday. Nine different players scored in the game and Matt Guerra had two goals. After Odessa opened the scoring from Matt Hutton in the 1st period, it was all Brahmas after that, which included 1st period goals from Baez, Guerra, Mitchell Digby, and Luke Burke. The lead swelled to 8-1 in the 2nd period as Michal Stinil, CJ Walker, Max Borst and Noah Roofe all lit the lamp. Guerra and Stefan Miklakos added 3rd period goals. Cayden Bailey made 12 saves in the win, while Zach Stern made 27 saves in the loss.
Jamestown 1 @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 4 – Zach Stejskal made 41 saves to lead the Knights to a 4-1 win on Sunday, completing a weekend home sweep of the visiting Rebels. The Rebels opened up a 2-0 lead with two goals in the 1st period from Johnny Kaljian and Jordan Strand. The lead increased to 4-0 as Brian Smith scored twice for the Knights. In the 3rd period, Stejskal and the Knights lost their shutout bid with just over two minutes remaining as Valentino Passarelli scored the lone goal for the Rebels. Jon Howe made 32 saves in the loss.
