Friday Finals: Bulls winning streak hits six

Gerrard Marretta had a hat-trick, including the overtime-winning goal on Friday night, to lead the Northeast Generals to a 7-6 win.

Amarillo 4 @ New Mexico 3 (OT) - Lauri Sertti scored the game winning goal in overtime as the Amarillo Bulls won their sixth straight game as they outlasted the New Mexico Ice Wolves 4-3. Ty Black, Devan Tongue and Matt Allen all lit the lamp in regulation for Amarillo. Charlie Glockner won his 10th game of the season as he made 25 saves. Connor Kemp, Alex Dominique and Sean Henry provided the offense for New Mexico. Garrett Mackay was stuck with the loss as he stopped 34 shots.
 
Northeast 7 @ Maine 6 (OT) - Gerard Marretta’s third goal of the game gave his Northeast Generals a 7-6 overtime victory over the Maine Nordiques. Clark Kerner and Cam Gaudette each had a goal and an assist as well for the Generals. Dylan Schuett and Ricky Boysen also scored for Northeast. Matt Pasquale stopped 35 shots for the Generals in the win. Isaiah Fox netted two goals and an assist while Cole Ouellette, Kevin Pitts and Cannon Green all had a goal and an assist. Tyler Harvey found the back of the net in the loss and Connor Androlewicz made 29 saves.
 
Kenai River 3 @ Janesville 1 - Cody Moline and Peter Morgan each tallied a goal and an assist as the Kenai River Brown Bears won their third straight game, defeating the Janesville Jets 3-1. Zach Krajnik chipped in an empty net goal to secure the win for the Brown Bears. Danny Fraga turned aside 37 shots and even had an assist in his third win of the year. Nick Michel scored the lone goal for Janesville while Grant Riley stopped 21 shots.
 
Fairbanks 2 @ Chippewa 3 (OT) - Killian Kiecker-Olson’s second goal of the game came just 25 seconds into overtime as the Chippewa Steel topped the Fairbanks Ice Dogs 3-2. Ryan Kerchoff had the other goal for the Steel in the win. Grant Boldt picked up the win in between the pipes as he made 26 stops. Parker Brown and Adam Eisele scored in the third period to tie the game and force overtime. Mattias Sholl took the loss in goal, he made 25 saves. 
 
Aberdeen 5 @ St. Cloud 2 - Jakob Breault potted a pair of goals and added an assist as the Aberdeen Wings took care of the St. Cloud Blizzard by a score of 5-2. Connor Beatty had a goal and an assist while Clayton Cosentino and Mack Byers also found the back of the net. Jake Sibell grabbed the win in goal as he made 18 saves. Brady Bjork and Brock Draeger scored the goals for St. Cloud. Sam Metcalf took the loss as he stopped 30 shots. 
 
Corpus Christi 2 @ Shreveport 4 - The Shreveport Mudbugs doubled up the Corpus Christi IceRays as Warren Natyshak and Ryan Waltman each had a goal and an assist in the victory. Anton Rubtsov and Timofei Khokhlachev also netted goals for the Mudbugs. Maiszon Balboa picked up the win in the crease as he made 16 saves. Tod Philibert and Erik Bargholtz were the goal scorers for the IceRays. Jeremy Forman made 33 saves in the loss for Corpus Christi. 
 
New Jersey 5 @ Jamestown 2 - Michael Outzen scored twice and Christ Garbe had a goal and an assist as the New Jersey Titans defeated the Jamestown Rebels 5-2. Gavin Gulash and Matt Cameron lit the lamp as well for the Titans. Patrick Pugliese stopped 23 shots and earned his 15th win of the year. Renars Karkls and Nick Siffringer netted the goals for the Rebels while Noah West took the loss in net as he made 21 saves. 
 
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 0 @ Maryland 3 - Cooper Black stopped all 20 shots he faced to pick up his first ever NAHL shutout as the Maryland Black Bears blanked the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 3-0. Aden Bruich and Ethan Heidepriem scored 21 seconds apart early in the second period to give the Black Bears a lead and insurance. Brayden Stannard added his eighth goal of the year in the third period to make it 3-0. Zach Stejskal stopped 39 shots in the loss.
 
Topeka 0 @ Lone Star 2 - Ludvig Persson is now tied for the league lead in shutouts as the Lone Star goaltender grabbed his sixth shutout of the year, blanking the Topeka Pilots 2-0. Persson denied all 22 shots thrown his way. Patriks Ozols scored the game’s first goal in the first period, it was his third of the season. Thomas Daskas picked up an assist on that goal before scoring his 12th of the year to provide the Brahmas with some insurance. Guy Blessing was dealt the loss for Topeka as he made 20 saves.
 
Springfield 6 @ MN Magicians 1 - Aaron Swanson contributed two goals and an assist as the Springfield Jr. Blues pummeled the Minnesota Magicians 6-1. Leo Bacallo had a goal and two assists for the Jr. Blues while Adisen Brueck netted a goal and an assist. Trevor Scherer and Jonathan Panisa collected goals for Springfield. Ryan Wilson stopped 31 of 32 Minnesota shots to win his seventh game of the season. Chris Konin scored the only goal for Minnesota while Dysen Skinner made 37 saves.
