Lone Star defenseman Martin makes NCAA D1 commitment

The Lone Star Brahmas of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Josh Martin has committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey for the University of Alaska-Anchorage in the WCHA.
 
Martin, 20, is in his third and final season playing junior hockey in the NAHL, which has all been spent in Texas with the Brahmas. The 6’3/200 lbs. native of Brownstown, Michigan, has appearing 15 games so far this season and has scored one goal and added two assists.
 
In 78 career NAHL games, Martin has recorded three goals and nine assists for 12 points.
 
With Martin’s recent commitment, the Lone Star Brahmas now have eight players on the current roster, tied for the most in the NAHL, with NCAA Division 1 commitments to play college hockey.
 
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Martin spent time playing midget hockey for both Belle Tire and Compuware in Michigan.
