The Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Joe Kile has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for SUNY-Plattsburgh.
Kile, 21, is a three-year veteran of the NAHL with the Tomahawks. The 6’1/185 lbs. native of Troy, Michigan, recorded 17 points (6 goals, 11 assists) in 38 games played during the 2018-19 season. He also chipped in three points in 13 NAHL Robertson Cup Playoff games.
Over the course of his three-year NAHL career with Johnstown, Kile appeared in 148 career games and recorded 71 points.
“Joe was a high quality member of our team for three seasons, making strong contributions on the ice and being a great teammate off the ice. We will definitely miss him here in Johnstown, and I feel he will bring great assets and be able to contribute offensively to Plattsburgh while being a strong part of their locker room,” said Tomahawks head coach Mike Letizia.
SUNY-Plattsburgh is an NCAA Division III school located in Plattsburgh, New York, and their team, the Cardinals, play in the State University of New York Athletic Conference.
