Aberdeen forward Rocco makes NCAA DI commitment

The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Thomas Rocco has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for St. Cloud State University.
Rocco, 19, just finished his first season with the Wings in the NAHL, helping them to the franchises first Robertson Cup Championship. The 5’9/170 lbs. native of Downingtown, Pennsylvania played in a total of 56 games during the 2018-19 regular season and recorded 42 points.
He also appeared in 12 playoff games and recorded nine points.
“Thomas is a special young man with an abundance of character and heart. He was an absolute game changer on this years Robertson Cup Championship club. His relentless work ethic will allow him to be highly successful at the next level. We’re proud of his accomplishments and excited to see his continued growth,” said Wings Head Coach Scott Langer.

I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity than the one I was given. St. Cloud State University plays in the NCHC. Rocco will join former Wings Kevin Fitzgerald and Will Hammer. St. Cloud has enjoyed time as the #1 team in the country over the past few years.
