May 23, 2019
The Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Svet Kuchynski has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Endicott College.
Kuchynski, 20, was acquired from the Austin Bruins in 2017, and has had an outstanding career with the Generals.
The 6’6/215 lbs. native of Minsk, Belarus, played in all situations for the Generals. During the 2018-19 season, he recorded 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists) in 45 games played.
Kuchynski began his NAHL career with the Kenai River Brown Bears in 2016-17 and late would play for the Austin Bruins before being traded to the Generals. Overall in 108 career NAHL games, he recorded 51 points.
“Svet was amazing. He played such a huge role for our team. He took and won every key faceoff, played on the power play, was one of our best penalty killers and was just a huge asset for us on the ice,” said Generals GM Bryan Erikson.
“Svet was awesome for us. He is a great kid off the ice and a real factor in all three zones on the ice. He battled injuries this year, but still put up around 30 points. He was also amazing in the playoffs with 4 points in 5 games. Endicott is getting a great player that should be a huge help from Day 1,” said Generals Head Coach Joe Lovell.
Endicott College plays in the Commonwealth Coast Conference and had a 16-9-2 record last season.
