Saturday Scores: Bobcats keep streak alive, move into 2nd place

Colorado College recruit and Minnesota Magicians forward Jackson Jutting scored four of his teams five goals in a weekend sweep.

Austin 2 @ Bismarck 4 - The Bismarck Bobcats finished off the sweep of the Austin Bruins and now sit all alone in sole possession of second place in the Central Division thanks to a 4-2 win as their point streak reached 16 straight games. Jacob Marti, Daniel Chladek, Tim Piechowski and Adam Stacho all scored for the Bobcats. John Roberts turned aside 32 of 34 Bruins shots and won his 27th game of the year. Dante Zapata contributed both goals for the Austin offense. Kyle McClellan stopped 27 shots for the Bruins. 
 
Janesville 0 @ MN Magicians 2 - Jackson Jutting scored twice and Jack Robbel made 14 saves as the Minnesota Magicians stymied the Janesville Jets and completed the sweep with a 2-0 victory on home ice. Jutting picked up his third and fourth goals of the weekend as Robbel earned his fourth shutout of the season. Cole Brady made 13 saves in the loss for Janesville.
 
Amarillo 5 @ Lone Star 3 - Logan Jenuwine netted a hat trick and is now just one goal away from tying the NAHL single-season goals record of 55 as his Amarillo Bulls dropped the Lone Star Brahmas, 5-3. Gabriel Seger had a goal and two assists while Nick Trela also scored for Amarillo. Justin Evenson stopped 22 of 25 and won the game for the Bulls. Joey Baez and Michal Stinil scored a goal and had an assist while Blake Evennou lit the lamp as well. Seth Eisele and Matt Sankner combined for 13 saves on the night. 
 
Minot 4 @ Aberdeen 5 - Stepan Pokorny had a goal and two assists to lead the Aberdeen Wings to a 5-4 win over the Minot Minotauros. Joe Strada grabbed a goal and an assist while Peter Morgan, Thomas Rocco and Riley Murphy all found the back of the net as well. Jake Beaune netted himself three assists while Henry Welsch made 25 saves to earn his first career NAHL win. Matthew Gellerman and Kevin Ness both tallied a goal and an assist for the Minotauros. David Raisanen and Connor McGinnis also lit the lamp for Minot. Ben Garrity stopped 30 shots in the loss.
 
MN Wilderness 2 @ Brookings 1 - Ryan Fanti stopped 30 of 31 shots he faced and the Minnesota Wilderness finished off their sweep of the Brookings Blizzard with a 2-1 win on Saturday night. Nate Horn and Nick Portz were the goal scorers for the Wilderness. Dylan Johnson, Jack Johnson and Andrew Troy all picked up assists. Bud Winter scored the only goal for Brookings. Brennan Boynton made 23 saves in net for the Blizzard.
 
Northeast 5 @ Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 2 - Brady Gaudette scored a goal and added two assists as the Northeast Generals increased their cushion for the final playoff spot in the East Division by defeating the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, 5-2. Matthew Rutigliano chipped in with four helpers while Louis Boudon and Ryan Rowland each tallied a goal and an assist. Michael Higgins also lit the lamp for Northeast. David Fessenden grabbed the win in goal as he made 20 saves. Tyrone Bronte and Adrian Danchenko provided the offense for the Knights. Jacob Urban made 17 stops for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. 
 
Jamestown 0 @ New Jersey 1 - Brandon Perrone could not be beat by the Jamestown Rebels and the New Jersey Titans needed all 30 of his saves as they blanked the Rebels 1-0. The only goal of the game came off the stick of Eric Manoukian. Zach Nazzarett and Kyle Jeffers picked up assists on the tally. Noah West had just one blemish on the evening and unfortunately that stuck him with the loss.
 
Springfield 3 @ Chippewa 2 - Ben Schmidling potted a pair of goals and the Springfield Jr. Blues outlasted the Chippewa Steel, 3-2. Max Brainin also got himself on the scoresheet with his 19th goal of the year. Brandon Puricelli helped out by adding three assists. Janis Voris got the win in goal for Springfield, he stopped 26 of 28 Chippewa shots. Killian Kiecker-Olson and Isaac Moberg found the back of the net for the Steel. Josh Langford made 21 saves in a losing effort. 
 
Topeka 6 @ Odessa 2 - Michael Muschitiello netted two goals and an assist while Cole Thiessen had a goal and two assists to lead the Topeka Pilots to a 6-2 victory over the Odessa Jackalopes. Valdemar Ahlberg, Quinn Green, and Brenden Rons all chipped in a goal and an assist for the Pilots in the victory. McLean Dorr stopped 35 shots to pick up the win in the crease. Joseph Winkelmann had a goal and an assist for Odessa while Patrick Dawson chipped in a goal of his own. Jade Phipps and Alex Camarre combined for 41 saves.
 
Corpus Christi 4 @ Shreveport 1 - The Corpus Christi IceRays inched closer to a playoff spot as they took care of the Shreveport Mudbugs, 4-1. Kyle Moore potted a pair of goals to lead the club while Anthony Yurkins and Austin Koss each scored one goal each. Brian George was victorious in goal as he made 28 saves to get the win. Mark Capkovic scored the only goal for Shreveport while Maiszon Balboa made 25 saves for the Bugs. 
 
Fairbanks 5 @ Kenai River 1 - Jax Murray’s three points led the Fairbanks Ice Dogs to a 5-1 decision over the Kenai River Brown Bears. With the win, Fairbanks is now just two points away from clinching another Midwest Division regular season title. Matt Koethe and Brenden MacLaren both scored a goal and tacked on an assist. Jake Borgida and Jonathan Sorenson also grabbed goals for the Ice Dogs in the victory. Mattias Sholl got the win in goal as he made 16 saves. Connor Canterbury scored the lone goal for the Brown Bears and Gavin Enright made 18 stops in the loss.
