Saturday Scores: Magicians punch playoff ticket with win

Brandon Perrone stopped 79 of 82 shots to help the New Jersey Titans pick up a weekend sweep of the 1st place Johnstown Tomahawks.

Kenai River 3 @ MN Magicians 5 - The Minnesota Magicians punched their playoff ticket as they took down the Kenai River Brown Bears 5-3. TJ Sagissor scored twice while Ben Schultheis contributed three assists. Jackson Jutting, Colin West and Cameron Buhl also scored as well for the Magicians. Ethan Haider improved to 17-10-2 on the season by turning aside 36 chances. Markuss Komuls, Alex Klekotka and Justin Daly scored for Kenai River. Gavin Enright made 35 saves in the loss.
 
Johnstown 0 @ New Jersey 4 - Brandon Perrone stood on his head and made 46 saves as the New Jersey Titans wrapped up a series split with the Johnstown Tomahawks. Kyle Jeffers had a goal and an assist while Brody Medeiros pitched in with two assists. Spencer Stanley, Chris Garbe and Gavin Gulash all scored for the Titans. Cooper Lukenda stopped 22 of 25 for Johnstown. 
 
Jamestown 6 @ Maryland 3 - The Jamestown Rebels completed the sweep of the Maryland Black Bears as Alex Frye led all skaters with five points. Auggie Moore grabbed a goal of his own and two helpers. James Crossman, Nick Stuckless and Jake Felker all lit the lamp as well. Alex Roy registered three assists on the night. Noah West only needed 18 saves to pick up his ninth win of the year. Luke Mountain, Logan Kons and Connor Pooley all scored for Maryland. David Tomeo made 32 saves for the Black Bears.
 
Brookings 3 @ Bismarck 4 - A late goal from Alex Pollock propelled the Bismarck Bobcats to a 4-3 win over the Brookings Blizzard. Andy Stoneman notched a goal and an assist while Ryan Taylor and Adam Stacho also found the back of the net. Atticus Kelly denied 21 of Brookings’ 24 chances. TJ Koufas netted two goals for Brookings. Bud Winter grabbed the other goal for the Blizzard. Jack Caruso made 34 saves in the loss.
 
Odessa 1 @ Lone Star 4 - Michal Stinil’s two goals led the Lone Star Brahmas as they finished off the weekend sweep of the Odessa Jackalopes. Jake Suede had a goal and an assist. Zach Heintz also found himself on the scoresheet for Lone Star. Seth Eiesle denied 23 shots in net for the Brahmas. Kellen Tharaldson scored the only goal for Odessa. Kade Phipps made 27 saves for the Jackalopes.
 
MN Wilderness 1 @ Minot 4 - Didrik Henbrant scored two goals for the second straight night and the Minot Minotauros swept the Minnesota Wilderness, winning 4-1 on Saturday night. Fritz Belisle scored a goal and registered an assist. Vince Marino also lit the lamp for Minot. Ben Garrity didn't have to work too hard as he only needed 16 saves to win his 13th game of the season. Luke Dow scored the lone goal for the Wilderness while Kaleb Johnson stopped 26 shots for Minnesota. 
 
Amarillo 5 @ Topeka 2 - One night after clinching the South Division regular season title, the Bulls were right back at it against the Topeka Pilots, Logan Jenuwine notched his third hat trick of the season as the Bulls defeated Topeka 5-2. Gabriel Seger tallied a goal and an assist while Ryan Lautenbach also lit the lamp. Justin Evenson made 29 saves on the night for the Bulls. Connor Zilisch and Valdemar Ahlberg each picked up goals for Topeka. McLean Dorr made 28 saves for the Pilots.
 
Aberdeen 2 @ Austin 4 - Ben Almquist lit the lamp twice and added an assist as the Austin Bruins knocked off the Aberdeen Wings 4-2. Dante Sheriff and Reggie Millette also scored for Austin. Kyle McClellan earned his 18th win of the season by making 25 saves. John Sladic and Stepan Pokorny potted the goals for Aberdeen. Matt Vernon also stopped 25 shots for the Wings.
 
Chippewa 5 @ Janesville 4 (SO) - Camden Thiesing scored the game deciding goal in the shootout and lifted the Chippewa Steel to a 5-4 victory over the Janesville Jets. Braiden Dorfman, Jacob Dirks, Michael Black and Killian Kiecker-Olson all scored in regulation for the Steel. Josh Langford made 34 saves and stopped four of the five shooters in the skills competition. Erik Palmqvist potted a pair of goals for Janesville while Brenden Olson and Nicholas Nardella also scored for the home squad. Cole Brady took the loss despite making 20 saves. 
 
Fairbanks 1 @ Springfield 4 - Brandon Puricelli and Nikita Kozyrev continued their hot streaks as Puricelli ended the night with a goal and two assists while Kozyrev buried two goals for the Jr. Blues. Darren Johnson also scored for Springfield. Jack Williams was superb on Saturday as he stopped 38 of 39 shots. John Stampohar netted the only goal for Fairbanks. Nate Reid and Mattias Shall combined for 27 saves. 
 
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 1 @ Northeast 3 - Alex Cohen scored a pair of goals and the Northeast Generals grabbed a 3-1 win over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights. Michael Higgins converted the other goal for the Generals while Kyle Gierman and Connor Marshall each tallied two assists. David Fessenden stopped 36 of 37 shots fired his way. Jake Fuss scored the lone goal for the Knights while Zach Stejskal made 34 saves.
